NetPlay Audio FAQ:
I can't get mysqueezebox apps to show up on the port 9000 server page. | There are 2 possible issues: 1. This player has already been registered to a different mysqueezebox account. Since each MAC address can only be associated with one account, you need to either remove that player from the old account (this can be hard to find/do), or just publish/enable a different channel for "squeeze" in the renderer channel config. Since each channel has a different MAC address, this is an easy workaround. 2. You have Spotify or Rhapsody apps installed in your mysqueezebox account. Delete these from your mysqueezebox account, then delete your mysqueezebox login from the server settings tab, apply, then reenter them and apply again. If you want to use Spotify, this is configured in the "plugins" tab of the server setup. |
My players are not showing up on the port 9000 server page. | By default, our players will "attach" to the first
server they find on boot. If you have another Logitech Media
Server running, they most likely attached to that one. Most
installations should only have a single server on the network, so
shutdown any others. If you need multiple servers, you can force
the players to connect to a specific one in the general setup, LMS
config. Sometimes people download the LMS software on their PC and do not realize it is running. |
My Control4 remote shows "now loading" when I select music or apps. | The player mac address is not set properly in the driver properties page. The easiest way to find your player's mac address is to start an internet radio station playing in the port 9000 server page. Once it starts, it will populate the "current player" field in the C4 driver with the player mac address. Copy that mac address to the top field. |
I can't get Spotify to work. | Spotify uses the "Triode" third party plugin, not the Spotify app on mysqueezebox. Uninstall the Spotify app from mysqueezebox, then goto the "plugins" tab on the port 9000 server settings page and click the "settings" link to the right of the "Triode" Spotify plugin. Enter your Spotify login credentials there and apply. You need to use a paid Spotify account. |
I can't get Pandora to work. | Pandora requires a premium account. Make sure the account type in mysqueezebox shows "premium". Free accounts will not work with our player. |

Can I use my Pandora for commercial applications? | Yes, but you need to purchase the Pandora for business service which is $25/month. The addional cost covers the licensing required to play Pandora in a public venue. Go www.dmx.com/pandora to start business services. You will need to purchase their player for $99, but after you have setup the business Pandora account you can use it with our NetPlay players for multistream Pandora (without using the DMX player). |
